Just as we cannot rush the rose to bloom, neither can we hurry the process of the Soul
We are far more tolerant of the natural cycles in our external world than in our inner world.
With nurturing and patience, the rosebud matures, becoming ripe for transformation into a perfected flower. All it needs is contained within, including the blueprint of its greatest expression. While the bud itself is a promise of what is to come, if plucked in haste, it withers, never realizing its full potential.
As we watch and anticipate the petals’ gentle unfurling, we are reminded that we, too, are gradually unfolding in our own time. Do we abandon the bud that takes its time revealing its potential, fearful that it might not be as beautiful as the full-blossomed flower in our neighbor’s garden?
Or can we believe that with care and nurturance, our own flower will bloom in colors that mirror the intent of our soul in its own season?
During challenging times, let us remember to exercise patience with ourselves…we are each on a journey to our beautiful uniqueness that is measured in milestones - not in minutes.
Great reminder. ❤️
